Waveney SLSC are thrilled to be a beneficiary of the 2024 Lowestoft Christmas Day Swim, supported by JME Limited.
This fabulous event, run by Everyone Active Water Lane Leisure Centre, has been a festive fixture for the town for decades with thousands of participants, supporters and spectators heading for the South Beach on Christmas morning to enjoy the festivities. This year is set to be bigger and better than ever and we’re looking forward to being part of the action with clubbies taking part and helping with donation buckets.
We’ll be in good company with the money raised from the swim going to several other beneficiaries including;
• 1st Carlton Colville Air Scouts
• Breast Cancer Now (Everyone Active Charity Partner)
• Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue
• Lowestoft Thursday Club
And core charities (and helpers);
• St John Ambulance Lowestoft
• Lowestoft Volunteer Lifeguard Corps. Est 1952
• Lowestoft Lions
• Brian Gallagher Football Fund
The ‘plunge’ will take place at 10am on Christmas Day just north of Claremont Pier and the HQ for the event will be at Flying Fifteens Tea Room. There will be a short warm-up before the dip. Swimmers and Supporters should arrive in plenty of time.
How to take part
Entries are now open at the Everyone Active Water Lane Leisure Centre website. Early bird registration is £8, but if you don’t pluck up the courage early enough don’t worry, on the day entries will be available for £10.
