Membership
​If you're looking for a club where you can meet new people, learn valuable skills and improve your physical fitness and mental wellbeing, Waveney Surf Lifesaving Club could be just for you. With regular beach and pool training sessions throughout the year, we focus on offering a friendly and supportive environment in which participants of all abilities can learn, develop and have fun.

There are three categories of surf life saving membership:
NIPPER
(aged 7-13)
With a focus on fun, Nipper membership introduces young people to basic life saving skills, water safety and surf sport skills. You can find out more about Nipper membership here.
YOUTH
(aged 13-19)
Youth membership allows participants to develop their lifesaving skills, physical fitness and friendships. Members can also work towards SLSGB qualifications.
SENIOR
(aged 20+)
Open to experienced surf lifesavers and beginners, senior membership offers regular adults training sessions that can be adapted to your skills and fitness level.
PLEASE NOTE
To become a member of Waveney Surf Lifesaving Club the following criteria must be met:
To become a Nipper you MUST be able to swim 100 metres unaided and tread water for 45 seconds.​
To join as a Youth or Senior you MUST be able to swim 200 metres and treat water for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Annual Subscriptions
Our membership year runs from January and the subscription is the same for all membership categories. We offer two payment options;
- One annual payment of £85, due in February.
- Monthly direct debit of £9 per month, payable over 11 months from February to December.
All members must also be members of SLSGB. Annual subscription for this is £30 and needs to be set up directly. Click here to visit SLSGB.

- Nippers aged 10-12
- Seniors
​We are operating a waiting list for Nippers aged 7-9 and 12-13 and also for Youth membership. If you or your child would like to join the waiting list, please complete our online form.
